Had a great trip to Arran, sunny Spring days made it feel more like May than February!
Inspired for more work now... Competition piece has made it safely and will be on display in Birmingham next month.

It s done! Taken me most of the night but the competition piece is finished - just need to attach mirror plates and get it in the post. Tomorrow's jobs though.. time to sleep now :)

So having got very fed up that a 30 minute design was taking ALL AFTERNOON I switched it off changed the needle, the thread, the tension, had a cup of tea, talked to it nicely and yay it's working again:)
The traumas of being an artist...it's just that the pressure is on now as I have FOUR galleries wanting my work this Summer and two hours each afternoon to work... think I'll just have to get used to less sleep:() - COULDN'T DO ANY LESS HOUSEWORK IF I TRIED heehee

..and here's the seaside its going to...my own bike is a muddy heap after cycling to Wylam at the weekend - great ride though..almost flat all the way and tea n biscuits at the end!!

Here's a little bike stitched using soluble fabric - it's going on a trip to the seaside as soon as the pins are removed - hmm would pins be a good security system for my bike??

New Threads

Fabulous new threads arrived today, already been using them to stitch aeroplanes! Thanks to Jo's Embroidery for these..I'm entering the Stitch/Madeira competition with them! Will let you know how I get on..deadline is a couple of weeks away..!

Glam or what??

Here are the blouses I'm using for my fairground pictures - wild and wonderful! Thanks to Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair as that's where I found them...off to Durham Vintage fair this weekend to find more!

Now I'm off to cover sardine tins in maps ..yes I did wash the tins first:)

Now I'm really feeling in holiday mode...I can smell the marshmallows toasting on the camp fire!
