Yippee! The clocks have gone forward and the sun has started to shine - so now it is warm and bright in my attic studio and I am not wrapped up in layers of woollies!
My lovely friend gave me this fabulous biscuit - the only campervan I'll ever own unless those numbers come up:)
I have just eaten it all apart from the windscreen and am now having a sugar rush!
Will have to find out the name of the maker - but I know she has a stand at Gibside's market.
I have also nearly finished that sea shore piece but....it doesn't look right framed as I intended so now I'm having to come up with a new way to display it...
Just need to add some more to the surfy bits and probably a bit more shingle too, so next time you see this it will be finished..I hope:)

Here's a new piece I'm working on, trying to incorporate lots of texture effects and layers..so I've stitched and then cut and then restitched and then washed it to give frayed edges on the sky and the sand. makes the sky come over all 'Van Gogh' hope he doesn't mind:)
I'm going to add a crazy patchwork sea and some pebbles, can't decide if they will be buttons or beads so I will post up samples as they are done to see which looks most effective.

Here's the background for a new funfair piece nice and twinkly - sequins to be added:) I want to get them bigger and sparklier still.. and there's still the dodgems car one to sort out. Deadline for pins and needles tomorrow so I'll have to get on with the bits I've done for that. Big machine not working properly boohoo:( is it trying to tell me that it needs a service?? I bet that's what's up.

and just check out the swimsuit under the wrap...its just fabulous darling...
More jumble sale joy! With this outfit I feel I need to buy a pair of cats eye shades...and book a cruise:)Its a terry towelling wrap with a wonderful print of tourist attractions and crinoline ladies. Far too nice to cut up and collage, at least for a while..so I'll just have to wear it!
I'm starting to stress a bit about time and getting work done.. don't say 'don't go to jumble sales then' that's therapy/inspiration/eco shopping in one neat bundle:) I think it's because I'm a good starter of projects and need to get better at finishing! Still I've got several deadlines looming so that should provide the impetus to go for it... Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to sew I go...

Jumble Sale Joy!
Well York was wonderful and the Great Ouseburn Village Jumble sale was fab - when we found it! Six cars stopped at one point all looking for the jumble and not knowing where it was!
Here are some of my bargain finds..Is this the perfect wedding outfit or what?? I'm thinking emerald green accessories - a fascinator for the head and hiiiiiigh heels for the feet:)

I got some great bargain fruit trees at Lidl yesterday - £5 for 4, when it warms up (!) I'll plant them in the garden and draw some more garden pics:)
These ones are teeny tiny beach huts.. mini caravans to follow:)
