Its taken 12 years but I've finally seen Puffins on the Farne Islands! Not many there at this time of year but I saw them and they were so fantastic - the most crazy looking birds. The weather was perfect and the sea was calm, the Guillemots were also great like Penguins that can fly:)
Got to see Grace Darling's Lighthouse too - so that might feature in future work. Love the stripes!
So now I'm hoping to go back to the Farnes in June to see even more puffins..hope the weather is as nice:)
I have nearly finished the 'Mackerel Sky' piece..picture to follow. I'm researching other weather related phrases and also sketching new caravans - check out the Shasta
I love the fins on the back and the corrugated finish - just need to find one on Ebay now! I could use it as a studio and gallery...
