Well bye bye BCTF 2012. It was fun while it lasted:) Glad to be back home again though. Now I have to contact all the lovely people I met there.

Been down to Harrogate today to set up my stand at the British Craft Trade Fair. The day has been spent going up and down step ladders! Hopefully it'll all be worthwhile... This was an interim stage..!

The bay window at home that I thought was the same size as my stand is obviously a bit bigger! Had to ditch the big easel and rejig the layout but I think it works - I'm hoping the creases drop out by the morning! Back down tomorrow for three days in my little camp - and when I come back I'm having a break from my sewing machine for the rest of the week:)
something I'm working on at the moment...it's one of those pieces where the more I try to finish it the more needs to be done! Very frustrating.

I'd forgotten how much fun this is:) Printing fabric on the kitchen table. (Laura Ashley got there first I know!) Using the screens I made yesterday I can get 2 or 3 prints before it gets too faint and patchy. So, lots of fabulous fabric to be added to my stash:) Just need to get it fixed and finished now...

lovely reactive dyes and my skin being a natural fibre (!) My fingers are now an interesting shade of blue - note to self always check rubber gloves for holes!
Still, it'll be worth it when this is printed onto some fabric:) I decided I needed to restock my stash of distressed fabric surfaces as its sunny outside today - good screen drying weather!

An inner ear virus has left me dizzy and not working:( So frustrating...still one bright thing look what turned up in the post this week..
A fabric stash booster subscription gift from Molly Makes magazine. Now I really want to get this bug gone and get up to my workroom...but I can only stand up when hanging on to a wall! Not fair and fun...The irony is I was working on pieces based on funfair rides - feel like I've done all the spinners!

I'm hoping to make 20 or so each week and sell them via galleries and Folksy shop. They are made in batches of six so they're quite special.. more designs to follow.
I've also made stitched admission tickets today..again pic's to follow. But it's been so cold in the attic and my little gas heater ran out yesterday. I was starting to freeze up there and there are only so many jumpers one can wear and still be able to move limbs:)
So tempted to book a holiday in the sun..but I'm the only one in the house with a passport and I can't see a solo trip being well received by the rest of the family! I'll just have to dig out the thermals and keep making sunny seaside scenes....
